Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Alright, so who's going to Mayhem Fest this year of 2011? I know I am and I don't care if I have to end up going alone because Disturbed is going to be there this year!!!

Rockstar Mayhem Festival began in 2008. Slipknot and Disturbed were both apparently there and I am so mad I missed it because Slipknot is amazing! One band, nine members, and all from Iowa... bumblefuck? That's just pure awesomeness!

The best year so far for Mayhem Fest was in 2009... the year that I actually went. Every single band was famous and kicking ass! I saw Jobs for A Cowboy, Behemoth, WhiteChapel, Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Slayer and MARILYN MANSON!! They put on the best show ever. I was in the lawn and wasn't up in the front pit, for the main stage but it was the best night of my life... honestly! I literally got beer thrown on me and I got trampled on during the Trivium concert on the Jagermeister stage, and people trampled all over my Trivium poster. I thought it was such an awesome souvenir to remember my Trivium poster got torn apart in an actual Trivium pit! And to top it all off, I actually met Trivium in October of 2009 and they gave me some Trivium picks and I got pictures with all of them!

Unfortunately, I did not get any pics at Mayhem Festival 2009 because I thought we weren't allowed to bring our camera's. I am so mad because everyone had their camera's out and I was without mine so all I have are the amazing memories!

The lineup of 2010 was good and I wanted to go but I went to India instead. Grr. All I remember from the lineup was Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb of God, Five Finger Death Punch and Atreyu. I really wanted to see all five of them live! I have wanted to see Korn live since I was young and loved their song "Freak on a Leash"!!

Anyways, this year's lineup is going to be off the Hook!! July 31st in Camden, NJ ... on Sunday. I am SO there!! Dun Dun Dun ... here it is:

I believe they had this special holiday pre-sale which began in December so it looks like tickets might be on sale already. However, I checked ticketmaster and they haven't even begun to sell tickets yet. I have no idea what's going on with that, so I will keep you updated about that.

In local news, there's some good shows this weekend in Philadelphia area. My friend Donald's friend is playing at the Fig in Jenkintown, PA. It's this cute little hookah bar and it's a local band. Local bands are always fun to watch especially if you see them before they become super famous. Also, at the Whiskey Tango, a new band has risen and they are called Starskream playing along with Kennedy Red as well. It's in Philadelphia on Bustleton Avenue. I wanted to go to both but looks like my lack of money at the moment is not going to allow me to be able to but, I'm sure there will be many others.

Come to McCarthy's in Bridgewater on Friday for some Karaoke with Krissy and I! We love that singing and you can sing your heart out, no matter if you suck or not, even though we don't! haha
